Frontend Engineer

Join a small, focused, high-energy team building our collaborative network visualization platform called Teleseer.

This role involves NextJS-powered UX engineering, interfacing with GraphQL data models, and developing custom interactive charts/graphs/timelines.

Responsibilities

  • NextJS/React UX engineering.
  • Building & optimizing GraphQL/WebSocket data transport systems.
  • Custom development of interactive SVG/WebGL-powered visualization tools.
  • Streamlined daily standup calls w/ frontend engineering team.
  • Management of high-quality trunk-based pull requests for each feature you're shipping.
  • Regular availability to share team brainstorming & peer programming sessions. Your workday schedule should intersect 7:00am - 9:00pm PST by at least two hours each day.

Skills and Experience

  • Intermediate/expert-level React+Typescript engineer.
  • Familiarity with Git, Scrum, TDD, GTD, UX design, and web accessibility best-practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Websockets, WebRTC, Canvas, D3, and/or high-performance GQL client implementations.
  • Contributions to open-source software and/or personal portfolio projects that demonstrate your skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent workspace experience in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or similar technical disciplines.
  • 2+ years experience in self-directed remote-work environments.
  • Clear written and spoken English skills.

VR/XR Engineer

  • Building & optimizing sophisticated VR/XR interfaces for large-scale graph data structures.

  • Familiarity with Git, Scrum, ES SL shaders, quaternions, and linear algebra.

Senior Backend DevOps Engineer

Join a small, focused, high-energy team building our collaborative network visualization platform called Teleseer.

This role involves managing our platform architecture and integrating application development and services across our entire stack. As lead Backend Devops Engineer, you will be responsible for building, managing, and securing our development and production environments. You will be responsible for integrating Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, TimescaleDB, GraphQL APIs, identity management SaaS, custom applications written in Go, and a NexTJS Front-end. You will also develop and mature multiple backend microservices required to control application state and augment application features. You will be responsible for scaling our backend services to maximize customer experience as we grow exponentially, while simultaneously optimizing cost. You will also manage our CI/CD build and testing pipelines to support a lightning fast development cadence.

Responsibilities

    • Design, deploy, manage, and secure multiple development and production environments consisting of dozens of virtual machines and related cloud services.
    • Develop strategies and technical designs for scaling production environments in response to product growth. Application latency and cost containment will be equally important factors.
    • Design and integrate backend APIs and microservices required to augment services and meet customer demand.
    • Manage virtual machines deployed on GCP to ensure they maintain a high level of readiness and availability.
    • Manage and maintain Kubernetes Clusters on GCP.
    • Securely and efficiently connect Kubernetes deployments and services, internal GCP components, and external data centers and services on the internet.

Skills and Experience

  • Intermediate/expert-level Linux shell experience.
  • Exceptional computer networking skills – VPN configuration, firewall configuration, subnet configuration, troubleshooting, & access controls.
  • Google Cloud Platform Experience; Google Cloud Certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with the following GCP services: Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Compute, Cloud Build and Cloud Run.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with Go (Golang).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing cloud resources.
  • Experience building, configuring, and deploying Docker images in networked environments.
  • Experience designing and managing load balancing web services.
  • Experience managing web proxy servers (nginx, apache).
